John Lunn Art Nouveau Handmade Sterling Silver Flute #139 – Special and Lovely! Playable, Musical Art – Leaves, Branches, Fruit!

I have been very passionate about flutes. Before I had children, flutes were a greatly loved hobby for me. I bought, played and sold over a hundred flutes, both simple system and modern, and I got intense pleasure from comparing them. When we bought our house, I liquidated all of my collection except my very favorites. This one made the cut easily. This sterling flute is John Lunn’s #139. I had it serviced by Sarah Merrow (she services all of John’s flutes) a year ago and have not played it since. True to John’s Art Nouveau design, it has elaborate leaves with lines on all of them and some 14k gold leaves in various places. John won an art award with this flute. B foot, offset G, A=442, open hole. Absolutely lovely. John lists his opening price for Sterling flutes (without any extras) as $17,000, and it can take a LONG time to have a flute made. This is a rare opportunity.

One caveat: though you may come here (I live in Woodstock, NY) to try the flute, I will not send it out for trial. It will remain in my possession until it is sold. I will not ship outside the US. Please note: shipping includes private insurance (as UPS will not insure for the full value). You may pick it up in person if you’d prefer to avoid the shipping cost, we can do it differently if you have private insurance (I’d need proof).
